Title

Exterior view of the American Legion's Washington D.C. offices on K Street

Description

Exterior view of the American Legion's Washington D.C. offices on K Street featuring a flag made from swatches of fabric sent with donations by supporters of the Citizens Flag Alliance. The flag, a cloth mosaic made from over 15,000 2-inch squares of fabric, was intended to honor America's veterans and to draw attention to the effort to pass a constitutional ammendment protecting the United States flag from physical desecration. See article in the American Legion Dispatch, November 25, 1997, page 1.
