National Commander D'Olier's colors
Description
Commander D’Olier’s National Commander colors, faded from their original red, white and blue. This flag once read “National Encampment American Legion”. The banner was donated to the Emil A. Blackmore Museum in 1969 by Gibralter American Legion Post 326 in Newark, New Jersey. Post 326 was founded by employees of the Prudential Insurance Company, where D’Olier served as president. D’Olier encouraged the post members and was a good friend to them throughout his tenure at Prudential and beyond.
